THE LADY BEHIND THE LENS …

Hi, I’m Sadie; A creative who has long been captivated by the worlds of art, design and the outdoors.

I use photography and video as my medium to tell the stories of fellow creatives, brands, and individuals.

I work extensively within the art and outdoor communities, collaborating with local and global businesses; as well as covering mountain biking World Cups and events.

What I value most about my work is the ability to translate someone else’s vision into imagery; to elevate their expertise, highlight their detail, and bring their ideas to life through considered, purposeful photography.

Art & Design:

From a young age, I was drawn to interior design and architecture. As a teenager, I spent hours sketching floor plans and designing homes using house design software, fascinated by how space, structure and layout could shape the way we experience a place.

My love for colour, composition and form developed alongside my interest in photography and fine art. Throughout my studies, I explored textiles, illustration, graphic design, fine art, design and photography.  Each of these disciplines strengthening my understanding of visual aesthetics and deepening my appreciation for thoughtful, intentional design.

Photography became the medium that brought all of these interests together. It allows me to work within the worlds I’m most passionate about;

  • Capturing the colour palette, lighting and spatial balance of an interior for designers.

  • Documenting the process and craftsmanship behind architectural projects.

  • Creating compelling imagery of products and people that communicates a brand’s story.

Outdoor Sport & Lifestyle:

My passion for biking, hiking, and exploring, combined with content creation; has naturally led me to work alongside like-minded people and brands.

Living in the French Alps town of Morzine for six years and attending mountain biking events provided both inspiration and access to this vibrant industry. I began spending my spare time signing on as media at local and international bike races, selling my photos directly to riders. This early experience soon evolved into a role with World Cup media coverage.

From there, I expanded into freeride and extreme downhill events, including Hardline and Backyard Battle. Working in these spaces introduced me to incredible individuals and communities, which led to photographing women’s bike events and collaborating with female-led brands such as DHARCO. Fellow sportswomen like Vero Sandler and Becky Skelton have also commissioned me to capture events and campaigns, including an ad for Adidas Five Ten and the women’s bike initiative, Project Evolve. I’ve also collaborated multiple times with Clare Bennett from Hope Women (Hope Ltd) to create engaging content.

Being invited back time and again by these amazing people to tell their stories through photography is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

I spend the majority of my spare time mountain biking, solo bikepacking, and hiking.

Sharing my own adventures on social media to inspire others to have the motivation and confidence to do the same.
